Drag brunch, bingo & beyond: your first HOAS night

House of Adam and Steve·June 22, 2026
EventsGuide

First time at a House of Adam and Steve night? Welcome home. Whether you are a seasoned drag-brunch regular or you have never been to a queer event in your life, here is everything you need to walk in like you own the place.

The vibe

Warm, loud, a little irreverent, and deeply queer-joyful. HOAS nights are built to be welcoming and inclusive to everyone — allies, families, first-timers and Friday-night veterans alike. Come exactly as you are, and leave with a few new friends and a story for Monday.

What happens on the night

Doors, a host who will absolutely talk to you, a lineup of performers giving it everything, and a room that claps loud. Tip your queens (cash or tap, whatever they have set up), cheer for the numbers you love, and do not be shy about the dance floor.

Know the nights

  • Drag brunch — bottomless vibes, big numbers and mimosas, the Sunday cure for a Saturday. Our brunches at Bernie's Tavern and The Avro are some of the easiest first nights to dip a toe in.
  • HOUSEplant Bingo — daubers out, plant-tastic prizes up for grabs, and a host who will lovingly heckle you all evening.
  • Live headliners — Drag Race royalty like Lexi Love and Ilona Verley, on stages across Hamilton and Guelph.
  • Seasonal blowouts — multi-level Halloween parties, Pride brunches, and the occasional pirate-ship harbour cruise. Yes, really.

Getting tickets

Shows sell fast, and the best ones sell out. Grab tickets on Eventbrite, and follow along on Instagram — 13,000 strong — for first dibs and lineup drops. New here? Every link lives in one place.

That is it. Pull up, say hi, and let us make your night.
